Kingswood Chapel

The Kingswood Chapel was added to the Crematorium complex in 2007 in order to accommodate larger numbers of mourners. It was named after the surrounding ancient woodland and provides a peaceful area in which to hold a funeral service.

Facilities in the Kingswood complex include:

  • Comfortable seating for 160 people
  • Standing space for an additional 60 people
  • External speaker system
  • Digital organ (Johannes Opus 27)

  • Wesley music, media and web broadcast systems which use Bose speakers
  • 2 x 60" display screens
  • Waiting room featuring a water cooler and 1 x 50" display screen
  • Toilet facilities (including disabled and baby change facilities)

  • Large print books (available on request)
  • Velvet and voile curtains
  • Dimmable lighting system
  • Vestry
  • An internal aviary containing white doves
  • Service / hymn books
