Worthing Crematorium is ideally situated just 5.5 miles from the centre of Worthing on a secluded 42 acre country estate, 9.5 acres of which have been developed as Gardens of Remembrance.

As only a small part has been developed the remainder is original woodland which enhance the tranquil atmosphere of the grounds.

Vibrant swathes of daffodils and other wild flowers appear during the spring and a wide variety of birds and animals visit the area year round.

How to reach us by road

Approaching from the North:
(from Horsham)

  • take the A24 heading south towards Worthing
  • when you reach the roundabout intersecting with the A283 you are about 4 miles from the Crematorium
  • carry on south on the A24 until you reach the Findon Village roundabout/junction with the A280
  • go right round the roundabout and head north, back up the A24 towards Horsham
  • the Crematorium is signposted from here and is a left turn off the A24 (about 0.4 miles from the roundabout)

Approaching from the East:
(from Shoreham-by-Sea, Hove and Brighton)

  • follow the A27 west towards Worthing, Arundel and Chichester
  • when you reach the Offington roundabout in Worthing (near Durrington Cemetery) take the A24 heading north towards Horsham, you are about 3.5 miles from the Crematorium
  • after approximately 2.5 miles you will reach the Findon Village roundabout/junction with the A280
  • go round the roundabout and continue north up the A24 towards Horsham
  • the Crematorium is signposted from here and is a left turn off the A24 (about 0.4 miles from the roundabout)

Approaching from the West:
(from Arundel and Chichester)

  • follow the A27 towards Worthing
  • approximately 4.5 miles after Arundel, you will see an exit slip road for the A280 to Clapham, Patching, Angmering, and Findon, (and Horsham & London - A24)
    from the slip road roundabout follow the A280 ('Long Furlong') north for about 4 miles and you will reach the Findon Village roundabout/junction with the A24
  • turn left at the roundabout and head north up the A24 towards Horsham
  • the Crematorium is signposted from here and is a left turn off the A24 (about 0.4 miles from the roundabout)

Approaching from the South:
(from Worthing)

  • on the A27 at the Offington roundabout in Worthing (near Durrington Cemetery) take the A24 heading north out of Worthing towards Horsham and London
  • Findon and the Crematorium are also signposted from this roundabout, you are about 2.5 miles from the Crematorium
  • carry on north on the A24 until you reach the Findon Village roundabout/junction with the A280
  • go round the roundabout and continue north up the A24 towards Horsham
  • the Crematorium is signposted from here and is a left turn off the A24 (about 0.4 miles from the roundabout)

How to reach us by bus

A number of bus companies run services near the crematorium, please see the following websites for details of bus services:

Please note:

  • The closest bus stops are in Findon Village, which is about a 30 to 40 minute walk up to the Crematorium (about 1.25 miles)
  • To walk from the entrance of the crematorium on the A24 (about 0.75 mile from Findon Village) up to the Crematorium buildings is about 0.75 mile and will take about 15 to 20 minutes
  • Please take care if you are crossing the A24 as it is a very busy and fast road, it is probably easiest/safest to cross at the roundabout near Findon Village
